Love Will Tear Us Apart

Love Will Tear Us Apart is a one-woman performance that occupies the space between a rock concert and abstract dance. Petra Hrašćanec gives a performance accompanied by a selection of love songs by Joy Division and The National among others. Furthermore, this ‘love’ also refers to the love of dance itself. The piece exposes the relationship between dance and its realisation. Apparently insignificant details gradually reveal the origins of the production.

The De Facto arts organisation puts on performances on the fine line between theatre, dance and performance art. They analyse the porosity of the scope of each discipline and explore the role of the performer.
